Crimes of the Heart - Friday, June 8 at 7:30 PM

Duncan Little Theatre is excited to present "Crimes of the Heart" at the Simmons Center Theater on Thursday, June 7, Friday, June 8 and Saturday, June 9 at 7:30 pm and a matinee on Sunday, June 10 at 2 pm.

Beth Henley’s 1981 Pulitzer Prize winning play "Crimes of the Heart” is a story about the three Magrath sisters. Lenny, the oldest, is unmarried and living in the family home to take care of her ailing grandfather, the family patriarch. Meg, the middle sister, returns to Hazlehurst, Mississippi after a failed singing career on the West Coast. Babe, the youngest, is out on bail after having shot her husband. Cousin Chick always has her opinion on their lives; Barnett is the awkward young lawyer who tries to keep Babe out of jail and Doc Porter returns as Meg’s old beau. Their troubles, grave and also hilarious, provide a loving picture of three sisters in a touching tribute to family.
