Raise the Roof Auditions - April 13th and 14th

AUDITION ANNOUNCEMENT

DLT is pleased to announce auditions for its 2019 production of Raise the Roof!

DATES: Saturday, April 13 from 4 pm to 6 pm & Sunday, April 14 from 6 pm to 9 pm.

LOCATION: Duncan Little Theatre — 824 W. Main St.

WHAT SHOULD YOU BRING?

Please prepare one 32-bar (approx. one minute) cut of a song that you love to sing (musical theatre preferred). The initial audition is about getting to know you, so let us see your personality shine! Please bring a karaoke or instrumental track to accompany your audition. We will provide an AUX cord to play your track via cellphone or other electronic device. All actors under the age of 18 should be accompanied by a legal guardian.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Raise the Roof will have a large cast consisting of adults, teenagers and children. Our director is looking for singers, dancers, actors and those with unique talents. This will be a fast-moving variety show. Anyone wishing to help with another area of the production (painting, costumes, set) may also come by and share their contact information.

REHEARSAL SCHEDULE & PERFORMANCE DATES

Rehearsals will be held Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings commencing April 22. Most cast members will not be called to rehearsal every day, but should be prepared to attend any rehearsals to which they are called. Upon move-in to the Simmons Center Theater on June 9, rehearsals will be held for all cast members nightly until the first performance date. Please come prepared with a list of any conflicts you may have with the rehearsal schedule. Performances will be held June 13, 14, 15 at 7:30 pm with a matinee on June 16 at 2:00 pm at the Simmons Center Theater.
